Cancer Consults

Cancer Consults are opportunity for you to discuss your cancer journey and current health concerns with Dr. Zech. She will take comprehensive health and cancer history in order to provide you with recommendations for supportive therapies at any stage of a cancer diagnosis, including health optimization in the survivorship setting. She will provide insights into available research on treatment approaches and educates you on various aspects of cancer care.

Please note that Dr. Zech cannot diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or serve as your primary physician or medical oncologist during these consultations. They are intended solely for educational purposes and should not replace regular medical care.

Cancer Consults are for intended for individuals that reside outside of Washington state. If you are a resident of Washington, consider scheduling a Medical Visit through Puget Sound Family Health

  • All scheduling and payment for cancer consults is done online by you and directly through the online portal (ChARM). Book a consult in the scheduling tool below.

    If you are a new client, you will need to set up an account before scheduling yourself.

    For Washington residents, consider scheduling a Medical Visit at Puget Sound Family Health. This option is available to Washington state residents only.

  • Yes, Cancer Consults are only available via telemedicine on our electronic health records systems which is HIPAA compliant.

  • Your first consult is for Dr. Zech to get to know you. Prior to your consult, she will review available health records to become familiar with the cancer diagnosis and any past and present treatments. During the consult you will be able to discuss your specific health concerns, take a more detailed medical history and review prescribed medicines and treatments.

    The first consult is an opportunity for Dr. Zech to get a more complete understanding of your physical and mental wellbeing in order make holistic recommendations for your unique health needs.

  • Cancer Consults are a cash-only service.

    Consults are paid for at the time of service and we require a card on file to book your appointment.

    By scheduling an appointment, you are agreeing to our no show and late cancellation policy.

    For patients residing in Washington state, consider scheduling a Medical Visit through Puget Sound Family Health (some insurances accepted).

    Since Cancer Consults are not medical services, they cannot be billed to insurance or HSA/FSA accounts.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us at least 24 business hours before your scheduled appointment time or you will be charged a cancellation fee of $100.00 for your missed appointment. If your appointment is on a Monday, the cancellation must be made by the same hour on the preceding Friday. No refund will be offered individuals who do not attend their scheduled appointment or attempt to cancel beforehand.

  • Due to licensure restrictions, Dr. Zech cannot be your physician if you do not reside in Washington.

    Cancer Consults are intended informational purposes and should not be used in place of an actual doctor's visit.

    If you DO live in Washington state and want to become a patient, please contact Puget Sound Family Health, to discuss options for establishing care.

  • Dr. Zech will review available medical records prior to your initial consult.

    Medical records can only be released with your authorization. It is your responsibility to obtain previous medical records from other physicians, or health care providers that you wish Dr. Zech to review. Please contact your physician or other health care provider to obtain these records and upload them to your Charm portal prior to our first consult.
